Nice job sir and congrats on the test flight. Hope mine turns out as nice as yours. Building 2 byron 51s right now. Gen1 for a friend and gen2 for myself. Your flying will get better just try to be SMOOTH on the controls and not yank and bank. Keith

I never learned how to use the rudder I should maybe get on that. Less likely to spin if it's coordinated.

That's an odd looking Dr1 Matt. Congrats on saving it.

Spend some time on the Dr1 in slow flight. That will improve your rudder skills!

Definitely learn to use that rudder, it is your friend and can get you out of trouble, especially in a crosswind.

Very nice job Sir.  Good flight.  Takes some fortitude to rip the covering off a new
plane and start over.  I was lucky in that respect as mine was one of the almost
ready to cover version.

Many Happy Flights!

Mike

Thanks! Yeah I'm thinking I need to better on some
sport planes.

Thanks!! No the tall grass was kind. I think I need to take a bit of nose weight out.
