A US Scale Masters Qualifier meet is being held in Fort Worth this coming weekend, Sept 11-12. The Greater South West RC club is hosting the meet and there are several new categories to enter. The turnouts have been good the last few years. Entry fee includes lunch. Plenty of free parking and room to setup or just spectate.
As usual, it will be HOT, so come prepared. The forecast for Sat is 98F and Sun 96F. Temps under 100F are tolerable!
East side of Fort Worth, Loop 820 and Randol Mill Road.

Congrats to local pilot Darrell Abby on being the 2021 Texas Champion for the 2nd time! He flew his P-47N from a modified Top Flite ARF for 6 flights on Sat/Sun to be the top dog. I called maneuvers for Darrell on Sat for one flight. It was an unusually nice 2 days for a scale contest with light winds down the runway and temps below 100F. And as well, no big crashes on Sat. A well run contest buy the GSW crew and of course, a great lunch of burgers and hot dogs cooked by Jim Keltner. Thanks to all who supported the meet. Lane
