Sweet Success!
We maidened my Beverly today 162" wingspan, 45lbs, all electric.
The Wx was great, no wind but overcast sky.
Today's flight followed several weeks of taxi tests and very short t/o and landings straight ahead on the runway as we worked gremlins out of the landing gear trucks and steering., each short hop gave us increased confidence that when the Amiable Elephant flew it would be stress free!
Except for the overcast and inexperienced camera crew the two flights were flawless.
Fair winds
Robert
Sparky and Drice....your advice was spot on! Changing the stab incidence to 2 degrees + your suggested control throws made for the perfect flight! But based on the previous short hops we changed the CG to 30% MAC

Robert,
U R Welcome!!!
Such an impressive project I read on google that they had. 30 passengers seating in the tail boom. That would be noisy uncomfortable ride.

Sparky,
I can't say I would have wanted to ride in the tailnoom either, especially on those long flights from England to the Middle East!
Up next we're Building a 160" Martin Mars, Jim has the CADing well underway...guess we'll need more cowls and nacelles ??
Fair winds
