Is anyone going to that meet in Virginia beach from, or passing through, Texas that has room for an additional model?

Thank you. Would be great to see pictures.

Edit: Did the gentleman with the 1/3 scale Fokker D VII powered by the Valach inline 120 twin show up.

Would love to see that combo.

Ed

Well now after looking at Goran's Photos from The Rally of the Eagles, I realize that I should have taken flying shots rather than walk arould and take a few static photos. However, here a just a few of the seventy or so models that were there.

One of the RCSB members, John Mueller, from Georgia won the Pilots choice with his third scale Albatros D.V and best WW I model with his third scale Fokker D.VII.

The site for this meet is at the Virginia  Military Museum.

On Saturday and Sunday they put on a W W I airshow using most of their extensive collection of WW I replica full scale flying aircraft.

They also gave rides all day in a Stearman and a PT-19 (We didn't think it could be a PT-19, because it didn't have No 47 on it!)

So that the visitors could see close up those WW i aircraft,  they lined them all up on the edge of the runway and had plenty of Museum volunteers to explain about the aircraft and answer questions.

Here are my photos of these FULL scale aircraft. I know they are not models but I have Mike's OK to post them so that you will know what WW 1 aircraft are at the Museum.  (They have a lot of between the wars and WW2 aircraft as well. as example, Polikarpov I-15 and 16., a PBY, Mitchell, Spitfire, Hurricane, and a Mosquito.  Take a look at their website for more info.)

 So, here are the photos.
And lastly one that is a bit newer.
