Hi All,
I've recently (almost) completed my 1/3rd scale Percival Mew Gull from Tom Hunt's plan.
I did the highly modified version which belonged to the late Alex Henshaw.
Powered by a DLE55RA which feeds into a canister muffler and then into a scale exhaust.
I made all my own moulds and plugs.
Flies very well - although the landing speed needs to be kept a little higher. It is a racer after all...
Thanks for looking,
Bruce.

Great pics of your beautiful plane Bruce. The cockpit is begging for a pilot though

He did say almost completed Jason, but I agree, that cockpit is screaming for a pilot!

Nice work Bruce.I've always been interested in the Mew Gull since reading Henshaw's book.

Thank-you Gentlemen.
Yes, it does need a pilot. Originally, I was going to carve up a small Alex Henshaw - and still may do in the future - but need a pilot before the end of next month for the comp in Coota.
I'm still finishing off and making items for the cockpit.
Thanks for looking in,
Bruce.

Bruce that last photo is a cracker! The low perspective makes it look like a pic of the full size if only for a pilot.

Excellent job on an under appreciated and too often overlooked fabulous flying design. Recent ARF of this was so popular it disappeared virtually overnight. As a built up it must be a featherlite! More pattern plane than racer. Shades from back when we hosted giant scale air racing.
Next to the engine the pilot will be the heaviest thing in this beauty What comp is in Coota?
