Daniel,
Welcome (again) as a site supporter. I was in the same situation as you. I asked myself: "Why spend $20.00 to join & post pictures when there are many other modeling sites for free?" You'll find that the $20.00 is well worth the investment. Here, there are many generous people who are truly devoted to scale modeling & just as importantly, very respectful of you & your projects. Many of our members are very interested in what each of us has to say & share.

Sincerely,
Skye

good morning

@ Bob: here are two pics from Lachen - the place where I do live:

@ all: please find here some pics of my Bücker Bü-133 "Jungmeister" from Benja  (1:2,8)

T

and of my Morane D-3801 > completely self made based on a plan sheet of Swiss scale modeler Franz Meier, but blown up to 1:4 > Franz Meier was living also in Lachen

This Picture was made on Dübendorf airfield. During WW2, a lot of allied bombers were landing on this airfield escorted by Swiss army Moranes D-3801. The Original plane "J-276" is on display at the "Fliegermuseum Dübendorf" on the same airfield

at Scale World Championship 2018 in Meiringen/Switzerland flown on Opening Airshow, together with Roger Nieto (France > 5th. place F4H-category) and his lovely Morane C-406 (basic structure for D-3801)

So, I hope this will give you a small impression about me and my favorites

sincerely
Daniel

Daniel,
Good morning & Wow! Beautiful place to live & your models are incredible. Very impressed with your attention to detail & your choice of aircraft. I usually see Mustangs & Corsairs when it comes to warbirds. It's very nice to see something different for a change. Your work is excellent.

Daniel,
Is your Jungmeister the same kit as the two that took part in the opening display?

hello

thanks a lot for compliments  Yes, I am always interested in airplanes which do not follow "main stream". But the "classic" warbirds like Mustang, Spitfire etc. are also nice.

No, the Bücker Airplanes at Opening display were not from Benja, they were bigger. It could be the Rödelmodell Jungmeister with 2,80m wingspan or a do it yourself construction…. anyway they flew very spectacular, excellent Pilots!

oh, I forgot another nice airplane: Blériot XI with 2.60m wingspan, designed by Paul Boddington/UK. It flies very well just with elevator and rudder

   Daniel,
Your scenery is as breath taking as your models, thank you very much for posting the pictures. Someday I would like to build just one, like one of your planes.
