Hello name is dan, been flying models for @ 15 years, love old style planes , when I was a kid dad and i owned a aeronca champ then a chief up to a archer then back to a chief, looking for a kit of a low wing flybaby prefer 1/4 scale. I have looked at the busa 1/3 scale flybaby, but not sure I want one that big for now. I do have bob nelitz 1/3 scale l-4 but I only finished it I did not do the full build. Anyway I will be looking here for tips and ideas, i have already learned a bunch just from reading all the threads. always loved airplanes, thanks,,,dan

Dan,
Welcome to the RCSB site. Glad to have you onboard. Aeronca aircraft are rare breed nowadays and always good to see one in model form. There's a mechanic who lives in Ohio who is in the process of restoring a full scale Aeronca Champ. Are you going to use heat-shrink film for covering? Good luck.

Hey guys thanks for the welcome, i appreciate it. I do have a 1/4 scale champ, as well as the cub but all the pictures are to large to post, the cub is still a cub its modeled after a war time J-5, just on the outside, I have not done any scale work interior yet. I am hoping to do that this winter. I guess I have to shrink the pictures down to post them...thank,,dan

Welcome Dan, you can down load a free program to reduce the size of your pictures. Just Google PhotoRazor. It is simple to use.
You will like this site, it is by far the best on the web
