Picked up this veteran at the Perry GA swap meet in 2012. It was covered in the old Coverite pre-painted yellow and blue setup. I decided to go with a plane that is at the Fairchild Museum in Hagerstown MD.
This year has been rough on my Scale activities, but I have finally gotten this bird redone. She was re-maidened before the markings were added. Gary at Decal-it took great care of me, including a bonus decal for the side markings that were too small to stencil.
Pretty windy here this week, so field shots will probably be next week. I'm on weekend shift through the end of the year.

The normal Dynaflite PT-19 did not have flaps. Did you add them
or just leave it be?
I've got one in my basement, still flyable. Covered with that
same covering you were talking about. I've been making threats
for years about recovering her in Koveral and add the flaps.
Maybe this year.

No, I added the flaps. I had another one of these years ago and found the flaps to be a lot of fun. They were not very much trouble to add when the wing is opened up. The plane is deceptively slick and the flaps make it easier to drag the thing down on landing. Covered in koverall, it would last forever.

What engine is working in the modell?
And can you report about the enginces performance for (scale) flying?

It uses a Zenoah G-26 with a pitts style muffler. The plane has no extra weight. I was able to place the components to get a good balance. With this engine and 18-6 Xoar prop it has much better than scale performance. It will fly on 1/3 to 1/2 throttle with ease.
