Thanks for the inspiration! I did copy you, I memorized your build. Sadly, pilot error claimed it last weekend. All that's left is a heap! On to the next project. eBay sales help with the five stages of grief. I changed it too much and I was also terrified to the point where it wasn't fun. Had fun and learned a lot about giant scale!

sorry to hear about the crash that does suck. Didn't think I could help anyone out with that thread....haven't seen many of these. Its a nice change from the mustangs, corsairs and P47s we see at the field

Well the best part about Russian aircraft, if something doesn't work or they crash, all the more scale! I did contact you at one point about the cowl mods, I ended up making a new set of formers to fix the fuselage shape instead of adding external add ons. Reading the pilot accounts, they said it flew like a cow. That sad day last weekend it was me who was the cow. When it did fly, it was tame and easy to land but the loss of power was unrecoverable for me.
