The aircraft is powered by two jetcat Rabbits on the inboard pylons. The outboards are for looks. Weighs around 50 lbs.

The C-17 flew three times in a 10 to 15 mph crosswind. Flew at half throttle most of the time. Aircraft still under construction.
Cooler than the other side of the pillow.......

I completely agree! Some more information.......which I THINK is correct.......
The builder/pilot used to work with Burt Rhutan (composite aircraft), and is retired. He made all the 'forms/molds' to produce the parts. (50% sure)
There black areas around the inner engine nacels is carbon fiber composite. (75% sure)
This whole project got started when he bought a plastic model of a C-17, filled it, then cut the fuselage into sections. He traced out the sections, and had them enlarged at a Kinko's. (100% sure)
Despite about a 45 degree cross wind, he landed right down the runway each time. I have no experience with turbines, but he seemed to have no trouble with the engines. Again, I think he still plans to finish the paint job.
Worth driving to St. Louis for!
