Finally it's finished! This spring I ran across an old Byron P-47 kit at a local swap meet. I was having a good time dickering about the price when suddenly I found myself loading the giant box in the back of my van. I am not one to collect unbuilt kits, and I was looking for a relaxing build that required very little re-engineering.
I really have no desire to fly the thing so it's up for sale. Everything in the model is brand new. The finish is Ziroli glass over the foam with Klass Kote paint for all the colors & insignia. I put a G45 in for power, weight is 23lbs and it's just a tad on the nose heavy side.
Now to get back to building my own design junk

Larry, it looks great! It would make a great sport/Sunday flyer for you! If I lived closer to you, I would be interested.

That's a great flying plane, surprised he's selling it, aside from that he did a nice job on it Leroy

Yes, I had the model sold within the first week. I have since test flown it for the new owner and it seems to fly good. The Byron was kind of a "bucket list" thing, I have always wanted to build one. Once it's done I have no desire to own or fly the thing, I enjoy flying my own design stuff and not kits or someone else's design.
It was an enjoyable build, I made a few changes to improve the model's looks but other than that it's a stock Byron model.
