Thanks for checking in and for the kind words gents, much appreciated.
John, their are a relatively large number of old r/c models hanging around in various areas of the museum. Most of them are pretty old and dilapidated but interesting to look at none the less. Some of the coolest are a couple of huge models of Texans modified to look like Zeros that were used in the movie "Empire of the Sun".
Matt, everything in my pics flew in the show with the exception of the Buchon, Sea Fury racer "Dreadnaught", the PB4Y Privateer, and the Yak-3 which I think was having some mechanical issues as it usually flies. There were also a number of other aircraft participating which I did not get pictures of such as a couple of C-47's, T-33, Mig-15, and I know I am forgetting a few others.
Some highlights of the show for me:
- Mustang, Sea Fury, and Tigercat aerobatics. - P-26 Peashooter flying - Formation of 5 P-40 Warhawks - Texas Flying Legends demo with their B-25, Avenger, Wildcat, P-40, Spitfire, and Mustang. Neat display with some aggressive flying.
My brother-in-law shot some pretty good aerial pics which I will try and get copies of to post as well.
