Here are pictures of my friend Rodney's (Stickguy58) 1/4 scale Balsa USA Fokker DVIII. He built it, but didn't complete it, and it sat for almost two years. In February I told him I would help him finish it so it could be flown at Warbirds Over Delaware this year. We made it!!
Here is Rodney with his plane:
Here are the two of us:

The business end:
The plane is covered in solartex with all the markings and cowl painted with rattle can rustoleum black and white. The lozenge fabric is from Arizona Modelers. It has a Zenoah G26 engine (magneto) and an Aces of Iron pilot. The guns were 3D printed by Alex at IFlyTailies. We put three flights on it today, and it survived all three .
A couple clicks of down trim is all that was needed. Rodney did a great job building it! Finally, here is a LINKY to the video. If anyone has techniques they can share to prevent the dreaded nose-over, I'd really appreciate reading them. It happened all three flights. Fortunately, nothing was damaged.
Hope to see and meet some rcscalebuilder folks in Delaware in a couple weeks!
Greg
