It must have taken you ages to upload all those pics. Thanks, they are inspiring.
Isn't Long Island where all the mega-mansions are? I'm surprised you're allowed to disturb the peace there.

We had a great time this year, I'm the guy trying to start the SE5.
It's true, parts of Long Island is home to some serious money, but the rest is just normal everyday people. It's actually a very big place.
For the first time in the clubs 25 year existence we are running into some issues with neighbors. A new development is being built nearby and homeowners are starting to complain. Everyone is very concerned.

I hope it started!
Never been to the States but it's right at the top of the list. Have a very limited concept of the geography.
The issue with developments is the same in our area too. There's some irony there, that encroaching housing pushes out public leisure areas, when you'd think in times of increasing population it's exactly when you would want more of it. Didn't the local council discuss options with you beforehand?

Ultimately the Neighbors will win out.. It seems as if they always do. I'd be looking for an alternate field now.

It hasn't gone that far. We've had the police show up twice so far. Very early stages, but it's not good for us.
The Island is only 118 miles long and about 20 miles wide, but almost 8 million people live here. Open space is almost nonexistent anymore in queens and Nassau county. Suffolk county where we are opens up a little bit, but it's disappearing quickly.
