It's almost time to end the flying year in south Georgia. The Southern Dawn Patrol 2015 (Dec 4-5) at the Mac Hodges field in Andersonville GA is only a month away. All planes prior to 1919 (gas, glow, electric) regardless of size are welcomed. Well almost (no hand launched).
Landing Fee is $20, flying from dawn to dusk on the most beautiful manicured grass field in the country.
Hookups (electric/water) are available first come first served at an additional charge. See Mac for more info.

Well SDP 2015 is history. We had 20 pilots and about 40 aircraft. There were many top notch builders planes. Many thanks to Mac Hodges for the use of his beautiful field.

Just to let you all know that we just don't fly at SDP. After the final aircraft is hangered in returning from the DUSK patrols on the front. The Manhattan Project starts. Notice the iced water in the glasses. This is used to bring the Manhattan glasses down to the proper temperature before pouring Thanks to Rich Feroldi the SDP Official bartender !!!!!
A fire pit keeps us warm while we tell lies about what great flyers we are My friend Gerhard a new convert to Dawn patrol

How many people does it take to assist Lee Richter in realizing that his G38 will never run with his fly wheel 180 degrees out due to a sheared pin.

Great pix, lovely planes. Looks like a great time. That grass looks like a putting green - only smoother! Best regards, Bob
