My name is Patrick and been out of the hobby since around 1985. Getting back in the hobby after all these years. It seems like I will have to relearn from the ground up. So much has changed especially with radios. My first love is giant scale Warbirds. Will be looking forward to talking to all of you.

Welcome aboard Patrick!

I can see you have been a member for a bit - have you started a build yet?

Hi Jeff,
no builds yet, been compiling some kits. Have a Sig Morrissey Bravo, Top Flite Cessna 182, Top Flite P-47 giant scale, Dave Platt T-28 and 1/4 scale plans for a T-28. Also have a Miester FW 190A and at the Toledo show show my wife got me a Ziroli A6M5 ZERO. These are in the assembly line. But I amust seriously considering putting a trainer together to see how much flying I forgot.

Trainer is a good idea.  If you are like most of us, it's a lot like a bicycle - you will be a little tenuous at first but then right back in the swing of things!

You might want to get a simulator, it keeps me from getting really rusty.
Cheers and I'm glad your getting back into it! I've never been to the Toledo show but I've been considering it for next year

The TF 182 is available as an ARF. I had one for a while, sold it to some one else that loved the way it presented in flight. It flys very scale like and would be an OK trainer once you get comfortable landing it has a weak Nose gear so you must fly it like the Full scale only let the nose touch when you are at taxi speed.
Got some electric foam ARF's and have a great time with them while you are building.
The big H9 T-28 which is slightly bigger than the Platt T-28 is superb in flight! and about 1/2 the weight.

Hi Sparky,

Appreciate your input but I'm old school. I'm not a arfer, was brought up with building. It's half the fun....
