As we start another lap around our star, I was reflecting on last year and things I wish to improve about my hobby this year. First, the COVID-19 situation ate up a lot of time with my business limiting my free time for my hobby and RCSB. That will be changing this year because while more business is great, it doesn't bring me the enjoyment and fulfillment I get from our great hobby. So you all will definitely be seeing more of me and my projects in 2021.
Also this year, I hope to do a few more video tutorials for the RCSB YouTube channel. If you have never checked it out you can find it at https://www.youtube.com/user/rcsbvideos. If you have a video tutorial on YouTube you would like me to link to there, shoot me a PM or use the contact us form with a link to the video.
Be sure and check out the latest R/C Scale Vendor Guide for this first quarter. It's posted and ready for you to download and use. This is a benefit for Site Supporter Subscribers and can be found by clicking "Site Supporter" on the site menu then "Vendor Resource Guide".
Last but not least, I have increased the upload file size to 200K. This will allow slightly larger images, yet still providing fast page downloads to your browser. If you have not read the Image Resizing Tutorial yet, then I would suggest you do. You can find it at the top of every forum listing or by simply clicking here.
That's it for this month. If you have a minute please post here and let me know your 2021 goals for the hobby. I would love to hear them.
Happy New Year To You All! Mike

Hi Mike, I have often wondered about how the RECENT POSTS column on the main page are scheduled. In my mind, the link you click on should take you to the MOST RECENT POST of that particular build, not the first page of the build. That's just my two cents on how it should work. Not that it should be changed, but it is intuitive that due to the name of that column, RECENT POSTS, it should go to the most recent post, and a first time viewer could always go back to the starting page and view it from there if he or she desires. But my mind works a bit different from others. Ha. Lane

Hi Lane,
There are actually TWO links there. The name of the thread is just a link to the thread (in case you want to read it from the start). The RIGHT BLUE ARROW beside it always takes you to the last post in a thread. It is this way throughout the site in things like Active Topics and such. Hope this clears things up for you.
Mike

Hi RCSB!
Happy New Year to all of the great modelers on this outstanding web site!!!
The first place I go to see and read the progress on the wonderful builds going on. I am slowly getting up the nerve to build something scale and post the progress. It will be electric and less than 1/4 scale due to the bedroom workshop. (I need to fix that when I retire!). It will also be somewhat unusual...
Last but not least, my Daughter is a first responder in a Florida ER We almost lost her to COVID-19 a few months ago. Please be safe!!!
Wishing all the best to the RCSB people and families this year!!
