I successfully test flew my Dad's 27% Speed 6 on Saturday....................2 further flights followed on Sunday. Not 100% yet, still a little adjustment of the CG required and a check with the incidence meter of the stab incidence as excessive up trim is currently required for level flight indicating a possible rigging angle problem. Model built from an enlarged Phil Kent 1/4 scale plan, so any builders of this model be aware and check the stab incidence as there may be an error.

Wonderful. I have had set of those plans for along time and now I think it might have moved to the top of the never ending list.

Did you fly it with the G-38? I would have thought it needed a bit more than that.

He's re-engined with a DA50 as the AUW was creeping up and he thought it may struggle a bit on the original ZG38. 1st engine runs have been carried out without drama......test flights are due when the English weather finally decided to sort itself out.

See above.............
