Hi all

Here is my scratch built Yak,  at 1/6 scale.  Powered by a TJ100 on 10s 5000mah battery pack,  all up weight is 11.5 pounds.  I have about 50 flights on it now,  it is a great flyer but one must remember the low thrust line when on approach.  Other than that I have enjoyed it very much.

Sorry second one is a little blurry,  John

I love strange-looking aircraft like this.

Is it an electric ducted fan? Does it fly well with that?

When you start the finishing, you're about 50% complete.

Thanks for all the kind comments.

TankHunter:    I scratch built the model from my own plans,  it is all balsa and some ply.  I also made the retracts, struts, wheel hubs and the tires are Dubro.  I have some vidio but it is not the greatest so the next time I can get my son to come along I will have him try again.

Fieseler:  Yes electric ducted fan,  plenty of power,  fly it off of grass all the time.  Flight can be very scale at low power or really un scale at full power,  flight times are 5 to 6 minutes and most of the time I am left with about 40% battery capacity.

Thachweave: I always call them beautifuly ugly.

John
