Is anyone planning on attending the US Scale Masters Championships this year up in Rosewood IN? I can't believe that I made the cut but I got an invitation to compete this year. My wife and I flew there in 2010 and had a blast, the weather was absolutely perfect all three days of flying. I'll be bringing my Fiat, somebody has to bring up the rear of the group!

I qualified in ProAm/Pro, and was thinking about going, but now that I'm back to work. ..it's not likely.

You really should try Don!!  It's a great site.  This is the third year the Ohio River View R/C Flyers have hosted the Masters and they do a great job.

For others, if you have not seen the current qualified pilots list, check it out here:

2014 Qualified Pilots List

If you name is on the list, and you have not gotten your e-mail invite yet, PM me here or PM the webmaster on the U.S. Scale Masters Site

Looks to be another great year, lets see if we can have more acft entered than last year!!!

See-ya
Mitch

Jim,

Couple years ago we changed the qualification requirements.  It is now based first on your score, then on the 33%.  Check out the USSMA guide HERE:

Here is a summary:
Expert Class: Minimum Qualifier combined static and average flight points to qualify for the Championships – 175 points.
Team Scale Class Minimum Qualifier combined static and average flight points to qualify for the Championships – 175 points.
Advanced Class: Minimum Qualifier combined static and average flight points to qualify for the Championships – 165 points.
Pro/Am Pro Class: Set available static points at 30; go or no-go, based on if art-work is provided.
Minimum Qualifier combined static and average flight points to qualify for the Championships – 110 points.
Pro/Am Sportsman: Set available static points at 25; go or no-go, based on if art-work is provided.
Minimum Qualifier combined static and average flight points to qualify for the Championships – 105 points.

See-ya

I qualified with my Gamma, this will be second scale event in almost 10 years.
Plus it is only 110 miles from my house.
