As of now my wife & I are planning on making the drive (750 miles). We will be keeping a close eye on the weather and hoping for a bit cooler temps! Brenda wants to enter her L-4 in team and I finally got the retracts working in my new 109E.
I have a question, is the grass runway right in front of the pilot boxes, or is the pavement? I really like flying from grass but it always seems like clubs put the pavement right in front of the pilot boxes.
Hopefully we will see you all there,
Larry & Brenda B

For everyday flying we use the grass directly in front of the flight stations. However, for the event we will use the grass on the far side of the runway (east of the pavement). The reason being the ground on that side is a bit smoother and most prefer to use the hard pavement as the primary runway.
Looking forward to seeing everyone soon.

Thanks Steve,
I think I'll pass on this event, my depth perception is such that landing 100ft away is no fun at all.
