I've been out of the hobby about 30 years, I obtained a Great Planes J3 Cub .40 ARF and I'm looking

for a set of decals for it and the dummy engine cylinders. I tried Great Planes but they no longer carry

parts for this ARF. I would like to hear from anyone that has experience with this plane.

I have no experience with that Cub, but you can try Fiberglass Specialties - they may have a fiberglass cowl with the cylinders.

For graphics try GetStencils or Callie Graphics.  You will have to say exactly what you want and possibly draw it - I assume you are looking for the lightning flash on sides of the fuselage and the Cub logo?  You should be able to find the Cub logo on line, send that to them and specify the size.
