I been flying helis. quads and Foamy fixwings for a few years and got into building some. I have built a few mini and small kits, and going to try my hand at a larger Warbird (1/7 Scale Spitfire MK IX) over the next year or so. I would like to know if there are any helpful tips from anyone that has done any TopFlite kits?

Have you checked into the Top Flight Forum?  I don't know if anyone has done a Spitty, but Top Flite builds are pretty similar so they should help you out.  Start a thread and if you get stumped or look like you are heading down the wrong path someone will jump in and help.
