I finished the CMP Zero re-engine with DLE-55 rear exhaust and test flew her. Flew great with 4 lb of diver's weights on the engine standoffs - total weight was 22.5 lbs. Got the SS P-40N going again with new canopy and spark plug cap secured. Flew the Zero 3 times and the P-40 twice. We staged a few pics with the other guy's planes and then flew chase with the AeroWorks P-51D and Top Flite P-40 chasing the Zero around the pattern. I'll post a few more pics if local photog Glenn Baker sends me some good ones. Another photog got the ones below, thanks to Bill Glenwalker for his efforts. P-40N canopy still needs some paint. I must say I like the Rev 50 engine (as long as the plug cap stays on). I'm waiting on him to sort thru them. He takes hundreds of pics of all planes at the field that day, so it takes him some time to cull the bad ones and clean up the good ones.
