Got my Team Zap Pack glue package today. Many thanks Mike and Frank Tiano. I certainly never expected to get Model of the Month here at RCSB. Lane

Hi Chris, glad you like the UV-20A. It was an interesting build in that it was not built over plans. All the parts were well engineered and laser cut. I feel it turned out cool and wish there would be more kits at this level. It might help bring back "building" to the RC hobby. For such a large model, it wasn't that expensive either. Maybe The World Models will do some more kits like this. They offer a large Stearman PT-17 as an ARF that would make a great kit. Thanks, Lane

Finally got a video of the UV-20A inflight. It's a partial video after been flying a few minutes. But, gives some idea of how she flies. This is the first day I've flown her, myself. Very smooth and easy to fly. I need to adjust the throttle servo arm to refine the throw as the arm is too long right now. Need to move the linkage attach point back toward the center of the arm. Right now just a few clicks on the stick and you get full power. Not good. After this flight, I adjusted the strut springs to put more tension on them and give a bit more ground clearance. Overall, a very fun plane and the roll rate is WAY higher than I imagined. Plenty of power to zoom thru a loop. Need a few more flights to really dial in the handling of the bird. I ended up adding quite a bit of DOWN elevator with mid and full flap positions.
Should get one more video soon from another club member. Lane

Before the month is gone, I’d like to say it is an honor to have the UV-20A selected as Model of the Month! Thanks again to Mike for this award. There are so many great builders here, I never expected to be in the M.O.M. class! So, it was quite a surprise to see it happen. I was honored just to get the UV-20A photo on the “merry go round” of planes on the home page! RCSB has been a great help to me in the last few years with the many resources and build threads to learn from. Hope to continue to participate/give/receive to RCSB for a long while. Also, thanks to Frank Tiano for the Zap Glue kit. Lane
