Hi guy's new to the site and I am a newbie to RC model aircraft,

My name is Steven and I am 32 yrs old.

I did buy a Flair Harvard 10 yrs ago but it is only half built as I lost interest after trying to make a few changes to how the wings joined and it didn't go to well and I also found the rear section of the fuselage is out of line by 5mm,So I put it to one side on a shelf and got in to RC nitro cars and model boats instead.

And about 5 months ago while looking on youtube I came across an RC model Beechcraft D18 and just did a search on Google to find info on it and came across a build on RCMF off one and seen what could be built from lite ply and balsa and it just amazed me what could be built from the materials,So I decided to get back in to it as I love building things so I have been buying some new tools and RC model aircraft books.I also bought a 1/7 scale plan of a Beechcraft D18 to build in a couple of years once my building skills are good enough.

So in a few months time I am going to re-build the wings and re-build the rear section of the fuselage and complete the Harvard so I can fly it,but I am going to get myself a trainer to learn to fly later this year or next year depends on money and hopefully join a club,I will also build some smaller planes from my plans to get the hang of scratch building.

I also have two large boats to build which is also why I am buying some new tools.

I have been reading a lot of build threads on here I am amazed at some of the modelers on here and what they have built and I hope that in a few years time I am as half as good as they are,and when I do start my first scratch build I will post on here for you all to see.

And I look forward to reading more build threads on here.

For sure join a clulb and get help learning to fly.  One sure path to disappointment is a crash first time out.

Welcome to RCSB!
