After having finished this Wild Hare ARC earlier this year, I never got any inflight pics. Local photog Glen Baker was on hand Monday with his pro camera to capture lots of warbirds at the field. I flew 4 times and he got at least 2 great photos. I'm sure he got more, but he hasn't had time to get them downloaded and weeded.
That's modeled after an Orange F6F-5 drone from the 50's for flying thru nuke clouds to measure radiation levels. Chad Veich has done the same bird, but, his take on this one is that it was really more of a red rather than orange. He sent me his stars and bars markings file and I turned it over to my graphics guy and he turned out some very mil-spec rub ons. I think she looks good either way as the Hellcat is one of the all time great prop driven fighters. SolarTex covering. DLE-55. WH Retracts. 23 lbs. She was FAST.
