Greetings from Louisiana: I am new to RC Planes, I am interested in building a sailplane, I have looked at several kits and have chosen Sig Riser 100. I have a coworker that is an experienced builder and flier. He and I have discussed my choice and he has had some great advice that most newbies learn the hard way. Including this website to gain advice and information. I am considering adding an electric motor to the Sig to assist in gaining altitude to fly. After all I am in flatland here and a ladder is about the tallest thing around. If all goes well this will be first of many planes!
Hi Floyd, welcome to RCSB. Not familiar with the Riser, but I had Goldberg's Electra 660 which was a Gentle Lady with a can motor on the nose, a wiper speed control and a 7-cell car hump pack battery. Things have really changed since then! You should have a really good time with yours!
