Hello!!My name is John Biondo. I have building and flying R/C models for about 25 years. I am an avid Stearman fanatic. Having flown in the full scale PT-17 with a 220 Continental and the lead Red Baron N802RB owned by a dear friend of mine. I own several giant scale models including: Flair Stearman GP Stearman 1/3 Scale BUSA Stearman Ziroli P-51 Mustang PAU Ultimate Nitro Planes 120 Ultimate Wing MFG B-25 Sky Shark P-40
I will be posting a build thread on the BUSA Stearman as it is being modeled after the N802RB Red Baron Squadron. I look forward to meeting some new builders on this site. J

John,
Welcome aboard. Looking forward to seeing your build and hearing all about the Stearmans were these N3N's?
RCSB dues are about 4 gallons of fuel or a start and warm up for the C-220.

Hey John, welcome to RCSB. Those rides must have been fantastic! My son and I had a short ride in a Stearman at an airshow several years ago - I enjoyed it - he kept his head down and I think crused the instrument panel cross-member with his grip!

Sparky and Jeff,Thank you both for the notes. yes flying in the Stearman are incredible. I enjoyed the lazy aerobatics in the Stearman what we call the #1 Stearman. 556DM. The Red Baron is a real thrill as it rolls climbs loops incredibly with the big 450 Pratt hanging out there on the front. I will post some pictures for you guys and some of my models as well. Thanks so much j
