Hello there,
some of you might have already seen one of the various building threads, I would like to introduce myself and my projects so far. I am a 1980 born old fellow named Christopher, who started to draw in 2009 while looking for a giant Aichi Val kit. I became addicted I must say, but I think there are various more lethal addictions
I am concentrating on the more exotic ones - besides the Spitfire I am working on. My projects end up with - a quality wood kit
- colored plansets, always plotted from original digital files, no copies!
Kit options are
- basic kit = colored planset + short kit + premium kit extras milled = hinge extras (control horns, hinges), 6 mm air-ply pieces (firewall, gear and wing mounting, servo carriers)
- fiberglass accessories such as cowling, wheel pants; clear canopy
- other accessory kits and extras will follow
It usually takes a year of researching, collecting books (yes, those original ones on paper, no compressed pdf files are suited for serious drawings), drawing, working on the 3D basis and continue from there for a model.
For those who haven't seen the thread(s):

#4 Supermarine Spitfire Mark IXc - 1/5th scale (ready for prototype build 1/5th)
>> early IXc/converted Mark V, I wanted the round rudder shape and like the early spits more than the sporty late ones.
A fantastic news: I contacted Paul Monforten some while ago, asking for official licensing his book as basis for a wood kit. He agreed and will benefit from each kit with a small license. I wanted to fully show respect for his tremendious work on the spit. If you haven't already call it your own, get your copy of his book: http://www.monfortonpress.com
My plans and kits will not be simply copying his drawings, I did some 100 hours' work on entering ordinates to establish a perfect 3D shape and carry on from there.
