The Fort Worth Thunderbirds are hosting their 21st Warbirds Over Lake Benbrook on Saturday May 13th. The field is one of the top fields in Texas with a long/wide concrete runway with adjacent grass area, and plenty of open flying areas.
THUNDERBIRD FIELD is located on the south shore of Lake Benbrook, southwest of Fort Worth TX. Take Winscott Plover Road north from Hwy 1187 to the lake gate. Proceed from the gate to the 4-way stop. Turn left .4 miles to the field. Map is here
This is a laid back, pilot friendly event, with a focus on flying, friends and fun. We have a great raffle, and your pilot's lunch is included in the $20 landing fee.
We are open to all military aircraft of any generation, up to LMA-1. Trainers, L-birds, bombers, fighters, transports, we love them all! Turbines welcome! Bring your squadron and some friends for a great time!
