I'm sorry I cannot help you with your problem, but I have never covered a plane with silk and dope.  If you know which kit your Nieuport came from, I suggest you go to that forum and post your questions.  I'm sure someone will be more than happy to help you out.  This site has some of the very best builders ANYWHERE !
