Hello everyone,
After years of lurking on this site, I've decided that it's time to pay up! I am a life long modeler starting with those early TopFlight rubber powered, all wood, little scale models available in the fifties. Been building scale models for the last few decades, participating in Scale Masters events and for many years contributing a scale column for the now dead, High Flight magazine. Perhaps some of you will remember my stuff.
I build at a glacial pace, often requiring several years to complete my projects. I am now in the painting phase of my Glenn Torrance Fokker Dr1 third scale triplane. I'm still in recovery after rib stitching what seems to be ten thousand ribs in those three wings!
For years I've been building World War Two aircraft, but now find myself drawn to early and between the wars airplanes. Now retired from my career as a helicopter pilot, I've discovered that all the building time I dreamed I would have, seems to be absorbed by all the other parts of life that I never noticed when I was working.
If I ever figure out this site, perhaps I'll try my hand at a build along.

Happy to be on board,

Chris Spangenberg

Chris,
The quality of your work is plenty justification for the pace you build. Welcome to the group and from the Lurkers side of the dark side.

Chris,

Remember the last name... Welcome to the brighter side of scale modeling. Its never dark
here...only the best! Looking forward to seeing your 1/3er. We have several early age, WWI,
and 'tween the wars scale builders here. No fewer than a half dozen threads at a time, seems
like. Glad to have your experience onboard.

Thanks for the welcome guys. If I can figure out how to post some photos, I'll share some photos of my
projects.

Thanks again for the welcoming words.

Chris

Left click Upload Image To RCSB which will open the PC file tree. Select the drive~folder (if at all possible create a folder for each series of photos so you will see each in sequence to your digital cameras assigned image I.D.) That way you will easily know which is the next photo on the timeline of shooting them.

Locate the folder in the appropriate drive address. Open the image before going further. Right click on image to observe size of the image. If it is larger than 600 pixels wide, reduce its size and try to keep images around 50~60k total size.

The same pop-up window you used to select your image file is awaiting placement of the file name you want to upload. Clicking on the file name will place it in the box...click to upload image.

When you see the RCSB file entry box upload the file. The memory displacement of the image will either be under the rejection size set by Mike (If rejected it will give you the image size so you can reduce its displacement to just below the stated K size.

If acceptable the image will now appear in the post box on a line where your cursor location is when uploaded...it now appears next to the vertical cursor line. Images are all left justified unless preceeded by text on the same line. It is possible to center or right justify images however your text will fall in that same position and more difficult to read.

..........................©   click

If you want to "point to" or create a hyper-link to another web site click  and perform the same procedure...however not all file types and points of origin for the image are permited to post. Trial and error may be required after you change the image post to one you upload.Upload Image To RCSB

Chris, there can be a bit more to it than just pointing to the file.  Read the FAQ HERE  - about halfway down under Posting.

Most of us on the PC use PhotoRazor - it is free and easy.
