Due to a slow down on the C-47 project for various reasons, i have built this Midwest Giles 202 over the past few weeks, 72" wingspan, 13 pounds. The main reason for building this plane is for breaking in the RCGF 35cc engines for the C-47. It was an enjoyable build and a good kit. Really looking forward to some flying weather to maiden it.
Still waiting for the graphics to arrive from Callie.

I took some freedoms from the full size scheme, here it is.

Steve looks good what about the other bird in the background?
Simple color scheme
I'm a big proponent of having abreak in airplane for various gear that will go in a high value airplane.
My test mule is not nearly as elegant.

Beautiful plane Steve. I've always been curious about this plane, when the full size Giles came out with the swept back leading edge it was supposed to have and advantage,  then the Edge 540 came out and it has a straight leading edge and a forward swept trailing edge and that supposed to have and advantage. I've always wondered what are those advantages.

Just curious,  where do you see another plane in the background? I only see the Giles in the photos that show up on my screen.

Sparky that other bird belongs to my wife . It is soooo heavy that when it came off of the moving truck it landed there and has been there every since.  It doesn't require much attention.

Good questions Roger. I have had several Extra's, they are great fliers. A friend of mine in South Africa has had the Midwest Giles and he is very confident i will like it just as well. We shall see.
