Hello everyone! This is my first post here and look forward to many more.
I am relatively new to RC flying having only been in the hobby about 8 years now.
I am a member of RCCD, Remote Control Club Detroit, www.RCCD.org
I've built a number of ARF's , a few stick builds and made countless repairs as a result of being new to RC flying.
I have a son that got me into the hobby. He is also a commercial pilot that flies a Convair 5800 daily.
I have a special interest in building the plane he flies however, I cannot find any plans for the 5800 or it's non-stretched version the 580. Hopefully, someone out there might point me in the right direction as I have been unsuccessful after hours of searching.

Explorer, welcome to RCSB!!!! We are very glad to have you. You've certainly came to the right place for scale modeling. Sorry I can't help you on locating some plans for your sons convair. Hopefully some one here can help you out. Check on becoming a site supporter, would be a cool plane to start up a build thread.

I mentioned to my son that I had posted here and still looking for plans to build his plane. He said he had not flown all last week as he was teaching flight school and had obtained the complete set of specs, electronic version, for the 580. He is going to look though them and see if there is anything that could be used to scale a model from! I've got my fingers crossed........
