I have been intimidated by large scale models too long so I?ve decided to take my first baby step by joining this site.  Having the entire collections of Dave Platt?s Videos/DVDs has inspired me to take the plunge.

I thought about doing some practice on certain subjects like planking, fiber glassing, making molds etc.. but doing it separate from a scale model.  Maybe this will help build up my confidence and then I can apply when I?m building a big scale model project.

Or maybe I should just jump right into a project and build up my skills that way.  Does anyone have any suggestion??

Well at least I can possibly get some awesome tips and ideas from the experience model builders out there.

Pat is a great individual and I have enjoyed talking with him and visiting his house is always a pleasure as you never know what you will see him working on. I use to live in Farmington and traveled to Alb all the time for events and his electrics are the best you will see and he is a great pilot.
