Alfred, Yes the rear cylinder is an option and is glues on as one large piece to the back. (Medium CA works best)

Rear cylinders are offered for every engine we have, we simply haven't posted them all yet but we are working on it!

You can reach out directly and we can add rear cylinders to anything we offer.

Our goal is to offer every common engine possible and we are coming out with new ones every month.
As for the Oberursel, that was a licensed copy of the Gnome and would be identical for scale building!


We do offer a design service as well for anyone building a one off airplane or a very uncommon airplane that needs a specific engine.


We can also customize any engine we offer, if you are looking for a specific setup, so please don't hesitate to reach out through the website to talk in more detail about your project.

Some Oberusels had the intake manifold come up to the cyl head from behind the cylinder.  While the Gnome came up from in front of the cylinder.

In addition some Oberusels had TWO valves per head with the corresponding TWO valve pushrods in front of each cylinder.

Thats good to know! Ill take a look at it and add that engine to the line up of those to be designed as multiple people have asked for it!
I'd love to have a side conversation about this if you can show me these differences in more detail!

I have to agree with Alfred in asking about inline engines. Most people think immediately of WWII warbirds & they’re hidden under the cowl. There are also dozens of WWI engines with their top half exposed. Albatros, Rumpler, BE2c, Curtiss JN-4D & others come to mind.

Will you be offering such inlines as: Dialmer D.III & Curtiss OX-5?

Yes we will, I myself have a Hanger 9 Fokker D7 which will be needing one so I think that will be the first one you see. (hopefully soon!)

There are several radials on the chopping block to get finished up but we try to put out at least one new engine a month and Inlines will be on the list in the near future for sure.

What about a 7-cylinder Wright Cyclone? I need to dress up a WW-2 Lavochkin LA-9 and it uses a 14 cylinder Shvetsov ASh-82 engine, and this engine has it's roots in the Wright  R-1820 Cyclone design.

Plane is approximately 1:5.5 and engine diameter at this scale is close to 9".

Here is the link for that engine.
Select the 1/6 scale for the correct pricing as the true scale for the 1820 is 9.02" at 1/6.


We can shrink it down a little more for you if you would like some extra clearance as well.
