This isn't my model, so I am listing as scale event photos! Or, maybe Mike wants to move to favorite aircraft photos in flight.

One of our club members brought out his huge CARF AT-6/SNJ painted up as a Post WWII US NAVY RESERVE aircraft. He's a great builder and he had test pilot Barry Ponder to do a remaiden after he tweaked the CG and a couple of other things. The true maiden flight was at the Monroe, LA RC Club Meet about a month or two ago. Flew well, but needed some tweaking.

I believe he said it was 42 pounds. He still needs to add a full cockpit and pilot and a few markings.

First pics just prior to starting the DA-100 engine, just to show the scale of the big model! 126 inches!

Just breaking ground.

Detailed Williams Bros dummy engine with (hard to see) cuts to allow cool air to flow over the DA-100. Temp on todays flights stayed below 200 Deg F. First flight was an amazing 164F!

Test pilot Barry P on the right and owner on the left.

Nice model.
How was the performance on the DA100?
I am close to finishing my CARF Thunderbolt and have fitted a DLE 120 for simplicity.
I would be interested to know how a warbird designed for a Moki performs on a twin.
Cheers!
Mick

Mick, the DA-100 is a great engine. This one today sounded great and flew hard and steady. I had a DA-100 on my Meister Scale Zero at 118 inches and 52 pounds and flew great as well. Dino of Meister Scale said the DA-100 was the best engine for the Zero. So, IMHO, the DA-100 is the way to go. Lane

That's the opposed engine, not the inline.
