Hi everybody I'm new to the forum, but I've been in the aeromodelling scene a few years, but now it's time to get into the scales planes :) a friend lent me is Proctor plans for the Albatros DVA and I'm starting to building it, I draw and the parts in CAD and then cut all the the parts in CNC, but I have a lot of questions and doubt about build it, I hope that you guys can help me a little bit

Does anyone have the building manual of the Albatros? I have some doubts that probably with the manual will be answered.

Hi Buu - welcome to RCSB.  Hope you will post your progress on the Albi, beautiful planes.

You might give Joe at Proctor Enterprises a call to see if he will sell you the manual.

And if you do decide to do a build thread here, please take a look at the site supporter program LINK

There are a lot of benefits to being a site supporter, beyond just unlimted posting.

welcome to the site! The best money you will spend to become a member of RCSB...
If this is your first scratch build you will find this plane a daunting task to get to completion. I would recommend something a little less complex. Balsa USA has quite a few biplanes that are much more builder friendly to start with.

IIRC - BUSA also has an Albatros?

Xacto knives (at least 2 since one is always missing ), zona saw, sandpaper and sanding block - lots of sandpaper in various grits.  300-400 is generally all you really need.  Pins, depending on your building surface.  Various files as needed.

For covering - straight edge razor blades (stainless steel if you can find them, they seem to be sharper and last a bit longer).  Good scissors of course.  Gloves for holding and pulling the covering while using a heat gun.

Various screwdrivers and allen keys.  Don't stint on the sandpaper, and 2 or 3 sanding blocks - the extruded aluminum ones work well, and the rolls of sticky backed sandpaper.

Did I mention sandpaper?

Welcome to RCSB Ole.

Check out the site supporter program here too (LINK) - you will soon find it to be as valuable a tool as all the others
