Hi all,

I've had a quite long break in rc planes but now the hobby bite me again

Done one Ben Buckle Junior 60, that taught me to fly RC planes.

Next i build a Goldberg cub, then a Great Planes AT-6. At the shelf i have Goldberg extra 300 and Ben Buckle Quacker flash.

I've been a scale fan all my life and actually the Goldberg cup i had turned into scale during the build. I had some great Polish drawings for the cup and i made the wings from scratch and also all the tail feathers. I also welded a functional landing gear as well.

Next project will be scratchbuild, i have few options: Pepino Waco 90", Pietenpol Aircamper 96" (33%) or a cub with about 100" span.

I am very happy to found this forum, specially the scratch building part

Good to hear from you. Do you have friends to fly with? A local hobby shop? A flying club? Think about joining the group and take full advantage of the site.

Hi Guys !

Made as you advised and joined as a site supporter, quite natural as you can't upload any pictures from build projects without. Anyway i already got value for my money, since there was the Waco YMF walkaround pictures for download   I have the Pepino Waco plans at my shelf, so those pictures might become very useful...

We have just moved to our new home, that i build myself, everything is a mess right now since all the things have not find their spot yet, but for the first time in my life i have a real workshop for me  I have a warm garage with about 250 sq/ft of space.

There is still a lot to do, but i will start some scratch project during the fall and hopefuly get it done by next summer.

Also the city of Hyvinkaa is a home of my local flying club airfield: EFHV, having an area for RC aircraft to be flown. I also hold a Finnish PPL and an American CPL.

Cheers, Mika

Ooh the south of Finland in the banana belt. We had A guy from Finland a few months ago and he was almost on the coast at the northern end.

Welcome Mika,

Thank you for becoming a Site Supporter. I'm glad you found the WACO walk around helpful. One of the site's members donated that walk-around and it has been a very popular download. Be sure and check back each month for a new one!

Mike
