Hey guys....
Im Dave Darr, a 60 year old modeler living in Uniontown Pa and have been flying RC all my life. I started at age 14 and have enjoyed pattern, helicopters and giant scale sailplanes. I spend a lot of time traveling the east coast introducing others to Aerotowing. You can find me flying at my home field located in Cumberland Md. where we fly from the top of Knobley Mt.
After selling the last of my full scale planes I decided to get serious about making my RC planes look more scale. I remember walking around Toledo thinking "how do they do that".
My PA 28 180 that I did a ground up restoration on:
My latest model is a SGS 2-33A, it was a short kit, 1/4 Scale, Wing Span: 153" (12.75'), Length: 78.5" (6.5'), Wing Area: 1975 sq in. The project took 8 months to complete.
You can see her flying at SKSS here:

The 3.6m pc 6 Pilatus Porter, DA85. She is a fantastic tug:
My 4.6m Ventus:
So I'll be lurking around reading and learning....

Great looking models Dave. Its obvious you haven't entered our midst as a greenhorn. Welcome aboard, we're glad you found us. When you start your next scale project please start a thread and show us a few of your tricks. I'm sure there are a few things we can learn from you.
Again, welcome aboard.

Hey guys....
Thanks for the welcomes.
You know the wonderful thing about our hobby is you can move around to different disciplines and still stay within the hobby. As I said, I'm currently flying giant scale sailplanes 4+M. However you guys are making it tough. Seeing the beautiful planes you build. I guess if we don't tell anyone I can sneak a PT19a or 108-3 Stinson on the bench.
I'm just sayin....
