I have a few likes for non-scale stuff (I do like a flying wing with a bit of fuselage and a fin), but I am mainly scale by inclination.

BUT...I don't like warbirds of any kind and I don't do BIG, so may be a loner on this forum, where everybody seems to be HUGE warbird fans. We'll see. My own tastes are somewhere between say, 32" and 55" spans, Sports and racing planes, especially between the wars types.

I have an old Great Planes Electri-Cub built, but only partly covered, so far which will have an OS 10 in it.  A model boat friend sent it from Munich for peanuts, so I had to have it.

I also rather like the Skyfarer which I have on a free plan from the club hut.  That may depend on whether I can find a small four stroke that's affordable. Having no luck there so far, so may have to go electric for that one.

Ultimately it would be nice to make models of the real aircraft I have been in and even flown, which would mean Chipmunk, Cub, Pitts S2, Fairchild Argus, Slingsby Cadet, Tiger Moth, Auster J5 and my friend had an Andreasson BA4b, but that was a single seater. But I did paint it for him and sign wrote the sides AND I have a plan for one.

So I could be busy.

I have been a professional modelmaker since giving up office work at age 16 and have raised a family and paid several mortgages on the proceeds so must have done something right. If I can help anyone with modelmaking techniques, just shout.  I'm a bit of a metal basher. Current project, a 1/6th scale Vincent Black Shadow, all in brass. A pattern for a large white metal and resin kit, almost finished.  Soldering techniques, hard and soft and metal beating can be discussed.  Also, wood carving/miniature woodwork is something I've done as I've made many models of classic mahogany speedboats over the years.
