You've definitely come to right place.  I just joined up in July and started my first scale build (build thread: Newb and a Super Decathlon - http://www.rcscalebuilder.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=2079 5&PN=1). I've been soaking up a lot of info lurking around all of the other threads and learning or re-learning a lot of techniques that I doubt I would have come up with on my own or learning the what not to do when people share their oops moments.
