I live on a lake near the logging town of Shelton Washington. I belong to a local club, the Sanderson Field RC Flyers, an active AMA charter club flying from a closed runway at Sanderson Field. I joined this forum as I start the build of a DeHavilland DH89a Dragon Rapide from a set of Robert Sweitzer plans at 1/6th scale, (96-inch wingspan) The model will feature electric power and a detailed cockpit and cabin. I am currently researching laser short kit cutters for this model, with no luck.
I also build scale model boats having just completed a 4 1/2 year construction of a 1/32nd scale live steam paddlewheel boat, the W.T. Preston. I have a build log at:

I'm retired from working in the maritime engineering and construction of submersibles as well as 27 years in the Army as a Chinook helicopter pilot. Now my days are leisurely spent on my lake flying my models and running my boats on Island Lake.
I look forward to hearing about everyone's projects and sharing my trials and tribulations in building this beautiful model.
