I subscribed to RCSB in late January and about the same time began to build a Proctor Nieuport 28 C-1. The Proctor kit is an absolute treat to assemble because of the high quality materials, plans and instructions.
This is my second biplane build. The first was an Icarus 2 hang glider with a 30 foot wingspan that I constructed in a shed in New Hampshire in 1974 and then crashed on the 3rd flight. I damaged part of the landing gear (my right ankle) and gave up hang gliding, probably a smart decision since all of my body parts still function today.
Anyways, I am happy to have found the RCSCALE website and, since I am not an experienced builder, will be asking for advice when I run into problems or am looking for better ways of doing things.
Proctor kits are a joy, and Joe is a great guy to deal with. Do you have a build thread? It's a great way to get help and encouragement

Let me know if I can help
Good evening & welcome to the site. Newbies are always welcomed. Questions ( no such thing a dumb question or repetitive) are always welcomed. You’ll have a blast with us. After awhile you’ll feel like a part of an international family. I’ve made lots of friends & learned so much from people who are always willing to lend a hand, advice, or just to chat.
Joe Proctor is truly a gifted artist & owner of Proctor Enterprise. He’s the president, stocker, assembler of kits (& by his own admission) janitor.
Thanks, I appreciate your messages. Will post some pictures when I get a bit further along on the fuselage. This is a good time to build because everything is on coronavirus lockdown and you're not supposed to leave the house except to buy essentials.
