Ken

I look forward on your build, this site is great, to share ideas and techniques to go about making things work, to see your airplane fly the first time, thats the big reward, and the fun of our hobby is 50 percent building and 50 percent flying it.

Good luck on your build

Hency

Hey Ken - I was stationed on Guam (NAS Agana) in late '68-69.  I bet it has changed a lot since then!

Welcome to RCSB - looking forward to your thread (and some scenery).  Let me recommend that you become a site supporter (http://www.rcscalebuilder.com/page_display.asp?pid=5) - it truly unlocks so much more of the site to you.

Welcome to the forum Ken, I'm thinking of building Mike's RF4 but am holding of because he said he might produce a 1/3 scale version. I shall follow you build with interest.

thanks guys,

really love the site..

J.Whitney,  Guam sure has changed alot...I got back in 05 and where you were stationed is now open as a drive thru road from Barrigada to the airport..remember it was known as Brewer field..all the houses there are all private now but with the road..once I become a site supporter I'll post pics of Guam...I don't know if you remember the old Asan barracks, it's now a federal park reserve known as Asan War memorial Park..It's where I fly my parkflyers and warbirds..had to exhibit my electrics to the park rangers to confirm no fuel in airplanes..

Workin out the details on the Mick Reeves site to get the RF4 to guam...shipping is killers but I gotta have the plane...lol

Dave,  That 1/3 scale sounds awesome... I'll definitly post pics as I have a couple of ideas for the bird

Again, Thanks to all in advance

Ken, be sure and check Don Coe's RF4 build in the Mick Reeves forum - it may be a page or two back now but it would be worth your while to check it out - even if he did power it with a "slimer"
