Come out to Greater South West Rc club this Saturday to watch or participate in the annual Big Bird meet. With the decent weather should be a big turnout. Free parking and seating. Lunch is free to pilot's with the $20 landing fee. Other's get free admission and can make a $5 donation for a burger or dog with all the trimmings. On the East Side of Fort Worth off East Loop 820 and Randoll Mill Road. Follow Randoll Mill East off 820 about 1/2 mile and look for the entrance on the Left of the road. Mono wing planes 80 inches or larger and Biplanes 60 inches or larger. Starts at 9AM and over around 1PM.

Alan, if you have a trailer you could drive up on Friday and camp in the parking lot! There will be a few that do that. Or, you could just sleep in your vehicle. The gates will be locked overnight. Be nice to have you along! Lane

Really, more like 1/2 day. Ha. Folks can fly as long as they wish, but the door prizes and officiating is over about 1PM.

Looks like the forecast calls for wind down from the South right the runway till 11am then drifts off the the East a bit after that. Wind speeds less than 10 MPH. All in all should be a great day for a meet. Burgers and dogs for lunch with canned drinks and chips and sometimes cookies. All the trimmings such as tomatoes, lettuce, onions, mustard, mayo, pickles. Such a deal! Free to pilots and (suggested) $5 donation for guests. Lane
