Hello Everyone - greetings from Colorado. Getting ready to start building a Don Smith B17G kit from All American Kit Cutters that I picked up last summer. This one had been on a shelf for a while but the kit / wood is in great shape.

Any guidance - direction, etc. that anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated. I have built a few RC planes in my day but this kit and size of plane if far beyond what I have built in the past. Am starting with the horizontal stab and working from there.

So - any advice and direction are very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Shaun

Shaun,
Welcome to the RCSB site. Glad to have you onboard. I’m sure you’ll find a wealth of information & guidance from several members. There are a few who have built the -17 & they can provide you with some wisdom from their own past experiences.

Cheers,

Gary

Welcome to the site and looking forward to your build. Ditto above. Study those plans and especial the other builds. Make notes to yourself of whos build and what page in the post its at. D S plans are basic build drawings I would call them and lack a lot of detail say that a Jerry Bates or Ziroli plan would have but don't be nervous about any part of it. If your not sure post the question you have with a photo and you will get plenty of qualified help from these guys!
