45 years ago i got a small Graupner-model with a rubber-motor called FLOP from my father.
since that time i've built about 200 models with selfmade plans and also as ARF.
As the eyes become worse with the age, the models have to be larger. (and slower)
So i started during the christmas holidays to build my first real scalemodel. its a SE5a in 1/4-scale out of a english kit from db sports and scale.
estimated maiden is in spring 2016....

I found this forum when i was searching for scale documentation.
in german language exists nearly nothing about this plane, so i was glad to see 2 threads with many pictures of exactly my model.

greetings from lower Bavaria / Germany

Hi Charly, welcome to RCSB!  There are probably a couple more threads on the SE-5a if you look hard enough
And the Jim Kiger drawings that are often referred to can be found here

If you start a build thread (please do!) you should look into becoming a site supporter - allows you full access to the site plus other benefits.  LINK

And once again, welcome to RCSB!

Welcome... Where in Bavaria do you live? I'm American, but have family in Bad Reichenhall, Olching, Marktschellenberg and a few other areas around...
