Hi all
My name is Ioan (pronounced Yo-An) and I live in Shropshire UK. I have been an modeller since I was eight years old, (oh dear, that's 57 years ago) I served the usual apprenticeship on Airfix etc and my first power model was a Yeoman Kits "Bantam Cock" a C/L trainer.
About 10 years ago I bought a Flair 1/4 scale Tiger Moth from my LMS. I mostly finished the basic woodwork and then ground to a halt. Having completed a Hobby-Lobby 12' Telemaster (kit, not ARTF) I have some space on my bench. So I dragged the 82a out of the attic and chipped the dust and general detritus off it and now intend to complete what I started. If you are interested, you can see where I am at

I have only just discovered this forum and have been impressed by the wealth of skill and knowledge here. I have "lurked" around some Tiggie build logs and am in awe. To misquote one of the modelling journalists "I am a bog standard modelling savage" so I do not foresee that my Tiggie will be of the high scale standard displayed here but I am going to enjoy finishing it off and will do my best.
Talk soon
Ioan

Hey Ioan, welcome! I am sure the inspiration will get to you and you will at least try some of the stuff you see - you never know, you might discover hidden talents!

Hi Jeff, Thank you for the welcome. How hidden, the old eyesight is past it's best.

Hi Jim
Thank you also.
Someone said that you never finish a scale model, you just stop working on it. Reading these forums, how true that seems
